Dr. A. Jerome R. Butler is a distinguished scholar‑practitioner, ecclesiastical leader, and humanitarian whose multidisciplinary career spans theology, global missions, financial education, and community development. Born in New York City and shaped by more than a quarter‑century in the American South, he resides in the Columbia, South Carolina region with his wife, Crystal L. Butler.

Dr. Butler is a graduate of Watson Chapel High School in Pine Bluff, Arkansas. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Webster University and a Bachelor of Arts in Health Science from Columbia. His academic formation includes additional studies at Northwestern University, the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff, the University of Maryland, and Erskine University. He earned both his Master’s degree and Doctor of Philosophy from the Cenfield School of Religion, where he later served as an Associate Professor of Old Testament Religion and Systematic Theology. His academic work is marked by a commitment to making theological inquiry accessible, relevant, and transformative for contemporary audiences.

As Senior Director of The Grace Project, Dr. Butler leads a comprehensive initiative dedicated to constructing homes for veterans and homeless families—an expression of his long‑standing commitment to restorative ministry and social equity. His global outreach includes AIDS education initiatives in Africa and the development of clean‑water wells in Madras, India. He has pastored two rural congregations and continues to serve as a spiritual mentor through his weekly Sunrise Saturday teaching and prayer sessions.

Dr. Butler is the author of five books and has been a consistent voice in faith‑based media. He previously hosted The Power of Your Destiny television broadcast in Augusta, Georgia, and currently hosts the Moments of Grace podcast, where he engages global audiences in conversations on purpose, resilience, and spiritual formation. His community leadership in Augusta earned formal recognition from the Mayor’s Office and local judiciary through his work with Project Connect. He was named Volunteer of the Year in 1997 at the Belle Terrace Community Center and was inducted into Outstanding Young Men of America in 1998. As a Disaster Caseworker with the American Red Cross during Hurricane Katrina, he provided critical support to families navigating unprecedented crisis. 

Dr. Butler is also a veteran of the United States Armed Forces, honorably discharged. His ecclesiastical leadership includes serving as facilitator of Zion’s Bridge, an international prayer consortium for pastors, teachers, and ministry leaders. In 2012, he was consecrated as a Bishop in the Lord’s Church and appointed to oversee congregations in South Carolina, Georgia, and Uganda.

With more than three decades of experience in the financial sectors of mortgage, investments, and insurance, Dr. Butler has guided individuals and families through complex financial challenges by emphasizing fiduciary literacy, disciplined budgeting, and long‑term wealth strategies. Former owner of World Wide Insurance Firm. A member of the Life Underwriters Training Council (LUTC), he has been recognized for excellence in business and financial education. 

He currently serves as Senior Coach with Trade Academy Pro, where he integrates behavioral finance, market strategy, and practical instruction to equip learners for sustainable financial growth.

Dr. Butler is a motivational speaker, life coach, ordained minister, and seasoned educator whose work is grounded in the conviction that timeless wisdom must be translated into contemporary relevance. His teaching is characterized by clarity, accessibility, and transformative insight—empowering individuals to reconstruct the fragmented areas of life with purpose and intentionality.
